# Introduction

> What BOARDROOM is, who it is for, and what you can run today.

Status: Available

BOARDROOM is a local, open-source decision workspace, licensed under Apache-2.0. You bring a question and its context; a team of AI advisers examines the evidence, challenges the proposal and works with you toward a plan you can stand behind. Disagreement can remain at the end, and **the final decision is always yours**.

The source is public on GitHub under the Apache License 2.0.

## Who it is for

Technical founders and builders who make consequential product and engineering decisions — often alone, and often before there is anything to measure.

## What you can run today

The current build includes **Plan 01, accepted with reservations**, and the **implemented Plan 02 live workflow, awaiting real-account qualification**. Explore the recorded example on macOS (Apple silicon), Windows x64 and Linux x64 without an account or model key:

- Read a scripted, fictional discussion in which a sourced objection changes the plan.
- Inspect the exact saved revision behind each citation, including text, PDF and DOCX sources.
- Export a new plan and decision memo, then reopen your progress and export history.
**Recorded, not live**
The example is a scripted fixture with fictional model labels. Playback makes no model calls. The live preview requires your own provider accounts and explicit spending authorization; its real-account acceptance campaign is still pending.
