# Explore the recorded example

> Read the fictional launch discussion, one intervention at a time or all at once, and resume where you left off.

Status: Available

The recorded example is a scripted, fictional discussion about a SaaS launch. Its model labels are fictional and playback makes no model calls. Run these commands from a [source checkout](/docs/install/) after `npm run build`.

## Read the discussion

```sh doc-test
node dist/cli.js demo --data-dir .boardroom/example
```

Repeating the command resumes from the saved position. After the last message it reports `Recording complete`.

## One intervention at a time

```sh doc-test
node dist/cli.js demo --next --data-dir .boardroom/guide-next
```

Each run prints the next intervention and saves the position, across separate processes.

## Start again

Use a new `--data-dir` for a fresh copy of the example. Progress lives in that directory only.

  In an interactive terminal the transcript is rendered with Ink. Add `--terminal` to force that rendering when output is not a TTY.
